SALVIA OFFICINALIS (SAGE) EXTRACT

Sage extract

Even sage's Latin name hints at its useful properties since 'salvāre' means 'to save'.

The main active substances of this natural elixir are pinene, cineol, camphor, borneol, tannins, triterpenic acids and phenolic compounds.

Sage extract has powerful bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, invigorating, soothing and healing properties. It can be used to treat small wounds, scratches, burns, dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis or as an anaesthetic and antispasmodic agent.

Sage extract excellently balances sebaceous gland secretion, drains extra moisture from the tissues and is an effective deodorising remedy.
